What is Meditation?

In our healing circle, we define meditation as mental hygiene. Most people put a lot of emphasis on daily physical hygiene. We make sure that we brush our teeth, wash our hands and take showers daily. Why do we do this? Most likely, because we don't wont to go around offending people with the smell of our bodies.
We have to clean our minds daily the same way we clean our bodies. Bad mental hygiene shows up in our lives in various ways. Bad mental hygiene can affect our attitudes, relationships, finances, and even our health. Practicing meditation daily is scientifically proven way to enhance your mental hygiene.
